Calm and glassy conditions are our favorite for holoholo trips. We caught some akule on a previous trip and used that for bait along with ika. Upon getting to our fishing grounds, we set up the rigs and figured out the drift and current. We dropped the bait down around 180 fathoms with our Shimano Beastmaster 9000. Once we brought up the fish we had a feeling, it was a state record contender. Such a fun fish to catch! Blessings from the sea.
